DA: Pennsylvania police officer resigns after allegedly adding false info into reports

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Cases involving a former Pennsylvania police officer are under review following an alleged admission of placing false information in reports connected to DUI sobriety tests.

According to the Centre County District Attorney’s office, former Spring Township Officer Stephen Kutches allegedly admitted during a Pennsylvania State Police interview to not seeing certain impairment signs in DUI stops, but would still include details in his reports saying otherwise.

That alleged admission was sent from PSP to Spring Township Police, prompting Kutches to be placed on administrative leave and the information to be forwarded to the Centre County DA’s office…
