Driver swerved to miss deer, causing crash on Lancaster highway: police

A driver swerved to avoid a deer and crashed into a parked vehicle on the side of Route 283 in Lancaster County, shutting down the highway for about two hours, police said.

The crash happened at about 5:39 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near the Route 741 exit, according to East Hempfield Township police.
