Harmful algae blooms prompt no contact order at Lake Ovid

OVID, Mich. (News 10 Lansing) – The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is investigating harmful algae blooms at two Mid-Michigan lakes.

Harmful algal blooms have been detected at Hubscher Park in Gratiot County and Lake Ovid in Clinton County. The Department of Natural Resources issued a no contact order for Lake Ovid due to the discovery of harmful algal blooms in the water.
