MASON, Mich. (WLNS) — Rumors circulating online that a mobile home park has been sold to a data center developer are untrue, officials say.
The rumors say Sycamore Village at 900 Columbia St. near US-127 in Mason has been sold to make way for a data center. City Manager Deb Stuart in a statement to 6 News Tuesday said the city “has not been contacted or made aware of any entity seeking to purchase Sycamore Village.”
Data center developers will pursue Vevay Twp. annexation
Property records from the Ingham County Treasurer’s Office also show no evidence of a recent sale. According to those records, the property’s last and only recorded sale occurred in 2011.
6 News also spoke with Sycamore Village’s property manager, who said they could not confirm whether the property will ever be put up for sale…
