DELHI TWP. — A 13-year-old boy was badly injured when a tree fell onto him at a Lansing-area campground during fierce storms on Friday, July 3, a family member said.
Noah Garcia, 13, underwent emergency surgery at University of Michigan Health − Sparrow Lansing and was expected to need more surgery, said Brigid Schlossberg, who described Noah as her grandnephew.
The tree snapped and twisted in strong winds, falling onto Noah as he and his mother ran for cover at Cottonwood Campground on Aurelius Road just south of Lansing on Friday evening, she said…
