LANSING, Mich. (News 10) – LifeWays is offering a new approach to substance use treatment through the Michigan Recovery Incentives Program, a pilot initiative that uses financial incentives to encourage recovery.
The evidence-based program combines treatment with rewards designed to help participants stay engaged in their recovery. Over the course of the 24-week program, participants can earn up to $599 by attending weekly appointments and providing negative drug tests.
The value of the incentives increases each week participants test negative for opioids and stimulants. If a participant tests positive or misses an appointment without notice, the incentive resets to a lower amount but can increase again with continued negative drug tests…
