Mid-Michigan events canceled or postponed due to wildfire smoke

LANSING, Mich. (News 10) — Hazardous air quality from wildfire smoke is prompting event organizers across Mid-Michigan to cancel or postpone scheduled activities.

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy has issued a statewide Air Quality Alert for Friday and Saturday due to smoke from wildfires in Canada.

Here is a list of the events that have been postponed or canceled:

Dam Jam Music Festival

The Dam Jam Music Festival in Old Town has been postponed due to hazardous air quality. Organizers said the decision was made out of an abundance of caution for artists and festival attendees.
