Mid-Michigan urgent cares seeing more patients amid Cyclospora outbreak, wildfire smoke

LANSING, Mich. (News 10) – Mid-Michigan urgent care centers and emergency rooms say they are seeing an increase in patient visits as the Cyclospora outbreak overlaps with poor air quality caused by smoke from Canadian wildfires.

Sarah Warren of Lansing Urgent Care said patient volumes have risen above what the clinic typically sees during the summer.

“That results in sometimes longer wait times, but the good news for patients is we have TeleMed appointments available, so we can still see you,” Warren said…
