Noah Garcia, 13, released from hospital after tree fell on him during camping trip

LANSING, Mich. (News 10) – A 13-year-old boy who was critically injured when a tree fell on him during a storm has been released from the hospital and returned home Wednesday.

Noah Garcia was on a Fourth of July camping trip when a severe storm moved over the campground and sent a tree crashing down on him. His mother, Cassandra Garcia, said she looked back while the family was running for cover and saw Noah on the ground.

Noah described the moment of impact. “Scary. I didn’t know what was going on. And knowing that everything went black when I got hit by the tree,” he said…
