Thousands expected at Mason’s steam engine reunion

MASON, Mich. (WLNS) — Thursday is the start of the Michigan Steam Engine and Thresher Club annual reunion in Mason.

The three-day event revolves around 30 steam engines, along with their counterparts, and brings in roughly 10,000 visitors.

While people come from all over the country to take part in this reunion, the steam engine community is very tight knit. 6 News spoke to a family that plays a major role in the event, and their steam engine has been passed down for generations, with members starting to learn to blow off some steam at eighteen months old…
