LANSING, Mich. (News 10) – When the gloves are hanging on the fence and the umpire calls, “Play ball,” 93-year-old Jim Buysse feels right at home.
For the past 20 years, Buysse has been a familiar face in the Lansing Senior Softball League, continuing a lifelong love of the game that began nearly eight decades ago.
“I’m out there. I swing the bat now,” Buysse said. “The legs go. The arm goes. I can still swing the bat. I’m not making much contact this year, but I love the chemistry, the team.”…
