Details scarce in Eaton County shooting

CHARLOTTE, Mich. (WLNS) – Nearly two weeks ago, a man was shot and killed by law enforcement in Roxand Township.

While Michigan State Police are investigating, Eaton County Sheriff Department officials and Charlotte City Police are silent about the situation – including the identity of the man shot and killed.

On January 11, Charlotte Police were searching for a man they identified as “armed and dangerous.” About 1 p.m., Eaton County Sheriff’s Office deputies “encountered” the man in Roxand Township. Eaton County has said the man, described as a white male, “produced a firearm and the officer-involved shooting occurred.”
