LANSING, Mich. (WOOD) — Gov. Gretchen Whitmer will deliver the annual State of the State address this evening.
The speech before a joint session of the Michigan Legislature will begin at 7 p.m. It will air on WXSP and stream live on WOODTV.com .
The speech will outline Whitmer’s priorities for the coming year. The Associated Press reports she will pitch a proposal to make community college free for all high school graduates.

This is Whitmer’s sixth State of the State address, but only the second time giving it with a Democratic majority in the Legislature to back her agenda.
