14-year-old among 3 injured in 2 shooting incidents Sunday in Lansing

LANSING — A 14-year-old boy was among three people injured in a pair of apparently unrelated shootings Sunday in Lansing.

The 14-year-old showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg following an incident in the 1200 block of Leslie Street, Lansing Police Public Information Director Jordan Gulkis said. Officers had responded to a shooting call there about 12:25 p.m. but did not find a victim, she said.

Earlier that day, two people suffered non-life-threatening injures in a shooting in the 2800 block of South Cedar Street, police said.

Shortly after 1 a.m., officers responding to a shots-fired call found a 45-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the arm and chest, Gulkis said. A 31-year-old man later walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound suffered in the same incident, she said.

Police described both incidents as “isolated.”

They remained under investigation, and no arrests had been made as of Monday morning.
