Haslett’s Kory Amachree gaining offers and interest from Big Ten schools

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – The Amachree last name is one the 6 Sports team has said several times over the last couple of years.

Now, the youngest member of the family is giving 6 Sports a reason to keep saying Amachree for the next couple of years.

First, there was Kaema Amachree, who helped the Haslett girls’ soccer team reach the state semifinals, in 2022, for the first time in program history and just wrapped up her sophomore season with the Toledo women’s soccer team.

Nakai Amachree bursted onto the scene in 2021 and rushed for a Haslett school record 331 yards in the Vikings’ 2023 district title win over Chelsea, and signed in with the Bowling Green football team in December.

Now the youngest Amachree, Kory, is getting his moment.

“Growing up together, we’d always compete, always trying to get that edge up on each other. That kind of molded me into who I am today,” Kory said. “I’m always grateful for that. My sister, I kind of looked up to her. She’s been my biggest role model.”
