JACKSON COUNTY, MI – A parole absconder was arrested Monday afternoon after fleeing police on a bicycle after he was seen stealing a bag. Police were called at 1:55 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, to a park in the Village of Springport for a report of a man on a bike seen riding up to a park bench, grabbing a black bag and quickly riding away, according to the Springport Police Department.
