LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Piles of rotting trash at the Boulevard West apartments in Lansing are now gone.
As 6 News first reported one week ago — the trash overflowed from a large dumpster since December of last year according to residents 6 News spoke with last week.
One resident said she pays between $20 to $60 a month for the trash service that was not happening.
Today, people who live there told 6 News they have been told there will now be a trash compactor on-site and a dumpster will no longer be available.
The good news for residents, we’re told, is that the apartment is reducing its garbage fees. Residents we spoke with said they are asking for reimbursement for the time their trash was not collected.
