Deion Sanders, Colorado Emerge As Favorite For Elite All-Conference Transfer

Michigan State Spartans All-Big Ten honorable mention defensive lineman Derrick Harmon already entered the transfer portal once back in December following an extremely bizarre season in East Lansing. He rejoined the Spartan squad under new head coach Jonathan Smith only to jump back in the portal once again in late April.

Harmon wasn’t a highly touted recruit coming out of high school in Detroit, but he’s quickly jumped on the radar of Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders as a transfer.

“Deion Sanders staff has made their move in Michigan a couple of times in the last two high school cycles and they seemingly have connections in the state. Harmon is checking out their spring game and the Buffs need a lot of replacements in the portal,” Spartan’s Wire reported .

Harmon is an elite run stopper evident by his 40 tackles in 2023. Sanders’s closest competition seems to be USC’s Lincoln Riley for this massive transfer portal asset.
