Here is a look at the Greater Lansing high school gymnastics Dream Team and all-area.
GYMNASTS OF THE YEAR
Bella Arriaga
▶ Team: East Lansing DeWitt
▶ Accomplishments: The sophomore was the CAAC all-around champ while competing at the Division 1 level. She finished eighth in the state on the floor and eighth at the regional.
Lydia Beaton
▶ Team: Grand Ledge
▶ Accomplishments: The senior placed third in the CAAC in the all-around while competing in Division 1 and finished sixth at the regional while placing third overall on the floor. She led area competitors at the state finals by finishing 12th in the all-around.
DREAM TEAM
Baylee Bartlett
▶ Team: Grand Ledge
▶ Accomplishments: Sixth in all-around in CAAC, seventh on beam while competing in Division 1 at regional
Sydney Eiler
▶ Team: Haslett United
▶ Accomplishments: Fifth in the CAAC in all-around, first in regional at Division 2, fourth on beam at regional
Phoebe Elder
▶ Team: Haslett United
▶ Accomplishments: CAAC all-around runner-up, fourth on floor at regional while competing in Division 1, eighth on beam at regional
