1 man arrested after car drives into Lansing home

LANSING — Police arrested the driver of a vehicle that struck a house north of downtown early Friday.

The 44-year-old man drove his vehicle into the porch of a home near North Cedar Street and East Maple Street about 1 a.m., Lansing Police Department spokesperson Jordan Gulkis said.

No one inside the home was injured. Gulkis said police suspect alcohol played a role in the crash.

The incident was the second in just over a week in which a vehicle struck a house in the city.
