Police need help identifying fraud suspect

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– Michigan State Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted for fraud.

On August 3, MSP took a fraud complaint from a woman who said she received a call from the Federal Trade Commission. During the phone call, the suspect told the woman she was a victim of fraud and that they were working on getting her funds back with a ‘protection fee’.

The suspect said the fee would be refunded back to her and told police she met up with him. The woman said she did not know the suspect’s identity but took a photo of him.
