Pick the LSJ high school athlete of week winner for Sept. 30 – Oct. 5

Here is a look at the latest individuals in the running to be voted the LSJ high school athlete of the week.

Voting is open until noon Wednesday to determine a winner, who will be featured in the LSJ.

Kory Amachree, Haslett football

The junior running back ran for 299 yards and five touchdowns for the Vikings in their 35-21 CAAC Red victory over Williamston.

Theodore Davis, Dansville cross country

The senior owns one of the fastest times in the area this fall and won a pair of races last week. Davis won the second CMAC jamboree Tuesday, finishing with a time of 16:24.3. He followed by finishing first at the Olivet Pink Invite on Saturday and had a time of 16:11.8.

Mikey Krysiak, Mason boys soccer

The junior helped the Bulldogs capture the CAAC Gold Cup title with wins over East Lansing and Division 2 No. 3-ranked DeWitt last week. Krysiak had a shutout against DeWitt before helping Mason prevail in penalty kicks.
