FOWLERVILLE — While he didn’t win the $300 million grand prize, Edmund Bronikowski, 59, of Fowlerville, still took home $100,000.
Bronikowski was selected in a random drawing by the Michigan Lottery on Tuesday, Oct. 29. According to a press release, he earned entries in the giveaway by scanning non-winning tickets on the Michigan Lottery app.
“I was on a conference call when I saw an email come through from the Michigan Lottery,” Bronikowski wrote in a statement. “When I opened the email and saw I won a $100,000 second-chance prize, all I could say is: ‘No way!’ My wife used to tease me about scanning my non-winning tickets, but she’s not laughing now.”
Bronikowski already claimed his prize, and said he plans to complete some projects on his home, pay bills and save.
“I still don’t believe this is real,” Bronikowski wrote. “I have dreamt of being here for so long, and I can’t believe it’s really happening.”
