Winter is back in a big way today for more than a dozen counties across Northern Michigan and the eastern end of the Upper Peninsula as well.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for 16 counties where heavy, wet snow is expected to stack up today. Winds gusting to 40 mph could make travel dangerous at times. There’s even a glaze of ice in the forecast.
The Winter Weather Advisory stretches to 5 p.m. today. It includes the counties of Emmet, Cheboygan, Leelanau, Antrim, Otsego, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Chippewa, Mackinac, Charlevoix, Crawford and Presque Isle. The islands of Mackinac and Bois Blanc are also included…
