KENT COUNTY, Mich — After an article by the Detroit News calling into question the residency of a Michigan state representative, he is pushing back.
“This is old news,” Rep. Bryan Posthumus told 13 ON YOUR SIDE at his office in Lansing. “I have one residence. It’s my condo in the district. I’ve had my farm in the district for well over a decade. I’ve lived in the district for almost a decade.”
The Detroit News dug up public election records on Rep. Posthumus and his wife, Kent County Clerk Elisabeth Posthumus-Lyons, and found that the two were listed as living in separate residencies on paperwork from May of 2024. Rep.
