WEATHER STORY: Alberta Clippers usually bring only a little snow. Colorado lows often bring a lot. This weekend. a low from in between the two zones will bring a 100% chance for moderate, sloppy, late winter snow on Sunday and Monday. First, there will be a few flurries in WI and MI on Friday night from an Alberta Clipper. Then, Canadian high pressure will take over on Saturday for dry, sunny but cool conditions for the daylight hours. By 1 a.m. Sunday morning, the more potent low will start the snow with some rain mixed in, too. It could last through early Monday morning.
FRIDAY EVENING/OVERNIGHT: A stray rain/snow shower is still possible to the south early this evening with no accumulation expected from the clipper. Gusty winds become calm with decreasing clouds and cool temperatures overnight. The wind will be N 5-15 mph. Lows will be in the single digits to teens above zero with 5 above being a common occurrence for many towns.
SATURDAY: The day will start with clear skies but increasing clouds will build in the afternoon and evening. Highs will reach the 20s and 30s with 30 being perhaps the most common reading on local thermometers. The wind will be SE 5-10 mph…
