LANSING, MI – Emmett the elk lost his humongous antlers last week in the annual spring shed.
Potter Park Zoo announced Thursday that its bull, Emmett, had shed his rack. The Facebook post includes a photo of five zookeepers – Adrianna Davidson, Jazzmin Wipf, Gabbi Dorn, Kim Hernandez and Autumn Keller – holding the set. And they were as wide as all five of them standing side by side.
This impressive set weighed in at a whopping 26 pounds (each antler weighed 13 pounds), the post said.
