LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – After an active weather week with at least 10 tornadoes reported from last Sunday alone, we start to calm down and cool down for the weekend and work week ahead.
Today’s Forecast If you are heading out early this morning, windshield wipers and rain gear are going to be needed as widespread showers come to an end. Temperatures are into the upper 30s to low 40s with some warming expected through the day. By this afternoon our slight drying trend kicks off with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures into the upper 40s to low 50s. I still think it’s a perfect day for a movie, or staying home with a bowl of soup and a book! Clouds stick with us tonight and our temperatures start to drop, overnight lows will settle into the upper 20s to low 30s.
Sunday’s Forecast: Clouds come to an end heading into Sunday with cooler temperatures in the forecast. I do think that we will continue to see a mix of clouds and sunshine for Sunday our temperatures will only be in the low to mid-40s for the day which is still well below average for this time of year. Unfortunately, clouds return Sunday night as our next weather system moves in.
Week Ahead: Kicking off the work week we have the chance to see some flakes, so don’t put away the rain/snow gear just yet!! This is all thanks to a clipper system that will move in late Sunday night into Monday morning, with colder air already in place we could see a few hours of snow. The good thing is that our ground is still soggy from all the rain which means that anything that does fall won’t stick for long! Any accumulation looks to remain to about a dusting to an inch on grassy and cooler surfaces.
Continuing through the week temperatures warm back into the 40s and 50s with increasing cloudiness and more rain showers by the end of the week!…
