The State of Michigan, in partnership with the MI Trades Partnership, will host a Skilled Trades Career Fair on Thursday, May 8, 2025. The event includes an in-person session from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 2407 North Grand River Avenue in Lansing and a virtual session from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. State departments such as the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA), MDOT, DTMB, and the Michigan Civil Service Commission will be in attendance. Job seekers will have the chance to speak directly with state recruiters and skilled trades employers. The Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency will be present to assist veterans, including printing DD-214 forms for those applying with veterans’ preference. Free parking is available at the Lansing venue.
