Community pushes through storm cleanup ahead of Memorial Day Weekend

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – After severe storms ripped through mid-Michigan this week, the damage left behind is hard to miss.

It left downed power lines, uprooted trees, and homes missing entire sections of roof or siding. However, across neighborhoods, the cleanup effort is already underway.

Gary Muenchausen, a resident of Waverly Hills, had his property hit hard by the storm, leaving a tree blocking his driveway and multiple other trees surrounding the house, destroying fencing and leaving a scene of debris. Even through the damage, he’s keeping his focus on what matters most…
