Enjoy a beautiful summer day today, before heat and humidity return tomorrow!

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A seasonal day is in the forecast for Saturday before heat and humidity return for Sunday and Monday, rain holds off until Monday afternoon and evening so enjoy a summer like forecast ahead.

After some showers and storms yesterday, we remain dry and mostly sunny with less humidity in the forecast for Saturday. Daytime highs warm into the 80s for today with our UV index into the 9 range which means you will need the sunscreen if you have any outdoor plans!

Sunday looks to be a hot day high temperatures into the upper 80s to low 90s, dew points will be into the 70 degree range which will make us feel like we are into the 100s into Sunday afternoon. A Heat Advisory hasn’t been issued yet but could be possible as we head into Sunday.

Our next chance for rain looks to be Sunday night into Monday and into Monday night. A cold front pushes through the area from the Plains. A few stronger storms are possible with the main hazards being gusty winds and hail. The time frame for this looks to be Monday afternoon and evening so keep an eye on the forecast for updates as this could bring some stronger to severe storms back into the forecast!

Dry and sunny weather continues for the rest of the work week with temperatures into the low to mid 80s which is where we should be for this time of year. Less humidity is expected as well as we see a drier airmass move in for the middle and end of the week. There could be a sprinkle here or there into Thursday but no major rainmakers in the forecast except for Monday so get out and enjoy some summer-like weather this week!…
