Ocimeae Lavender Farm U-Pick festival underway

WEBBERVILLE, Mich. (WLNS) – Stretching across the land at Ocimeae Lavender Farm, there are eight varieties of the flowering herb. Even without all of the plants in bloom, the air is fragrant with the light aroma of what farm owners Marilyn and Tom Smith refer to as the “Swiss Army Knife” of herbs.

Ocimeae Lavender Farm’s U-Pick Festival takes place Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the next two weeks.

Guests can cut lavender bundles, take photos in the fields, participate in classes, and make crafts.

On July 1 and 12, ‘En Plain Air’ artists will be stationed throughout the property working on oil paintings of the farm grounds. The Cousins Maine Lobster Truck will be there as well…
