An Indiana family is acquiring the assets of Manitou boats, a Lansing-based pontoon manufacturer.
The deal involves members of the Marcott family, who also own Bentley Pontoons and are tied to Bison LLC, a manufacturer of horse trailers in Milford, Ind. about 70 miles south of Kalamazoo.
Quebec-based BRP Inc. is selling the Manitou assets as part of its strategy to focus on its powersports business. The company, formerly Bombardier Recreational Products, expects the deal to close in the third quarter of its current 2026 fiscal year, which would place the closing in August, September or October of this year…
