LANSING — Isolated thunderstorms caused a couple of power outages south of Lansing on July 9 as unsettled weather prevailed in the Lansing region.
The biggest outage affected about 1,200 Consumers Energy customers in the Dimondale area on Wednesday morning and was caused by tree damage, Consumers’ spokesperson Trisha Bloembergen said.

That outage was cleared up around mid-day. Another outage affecting about 85 customers in the Potterville area remained, and Bloembergen said the utility expected to have power restored to those customers by around 3 p.m. July 9…
