It’s a Saturday night at the local bars in East Lansing – the music is bumping, the lights are flashingstrobing, and the Michigan State University student body is drinking– except for some students, such as Chloe Loftus, a junior studying secondary education.
As she sipped her Diet Coke and danced, Loftus could feel judgemental glances coming from her friends. At first, it seemed strange, but it quickly became apparent that it was because she wasn’t consuming alcohol.
