EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Proposed cuts to the National Institutes of Health could drastically impact universities in mid-Michigan that study breast cancer.
6 News spoke to Jamie Bernard, an associate professor at Michigan State University, who is researching breast cancer treatment. She says the loss of funding will mean a loss of lives.
Back in April, Bernard told 6 News that her research funding had been cut, and grants had been frozen, and she’s not the only one concerned.
