LANSING — A “horrific crash” near midnight last November killed four people, shut down a section of Interstate 96 for hours and has led to at least seven lawsuits and a court-initiated sale of a trucking company.
The crash happened around 11:42 p.m. on Nov. 2, 2024, on I-96 near Webberville. The stretch of highway had been shut down for work on transmission lines over the roadway.
