Perry, Mich., native reported missing after fishing trip in Oscoda Township

MONDAY, July 28 — A man with longtime ties to the Greater Lansing area has been reported missing after a fishing trip in northern Michigan, according to an Oscoda Township Police Department press release.

Leslie “Les” Lewis Brown, 44, a former Perry, Michigan, resident and a graduate of Perry High School, was reportedly last seen on or around July 12 while fishing with a companion near his home along Van Ettan Creek in Oscoda Township, the release stated.

While the exact timeline of his disappearance remains unclear, police say he was reported missing on July 19 by his long-time girlfriend after she returned from a trip downstate and found he had not returned from his fishing trip the week before.
