LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – The city of Lansing has passed new landlord relocation insurance requirements.
Under the new rules, landlords must either purchase rental relocation insurance or agree with the city to reimburse taxpayers up to $2,550 if the city has to relocate tenants living in unsafe conditions.
These requirements take effect immediately but will only apply the next time landlords renew an existing rental license or obtain a new one…
