LANSING — State Representative William Bruck’s plan to keep large trucks out of the left lane has cleared its first step in Lansing.
The bill passed the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee on Tuesday. It would require tractor-trailers to stay out of the left lane on expressways with three or more lanes. Trucks could still move left in certain cases, like preparing for a turn or moving through construction.
