LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — AAA is returning its Tow to Go service this Labor Day weekend, beginning today at 6 p.m. and continuing through 6 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2. The service will dispatch a tow truck to your location and take you and your car anywhere within a 10-mile radius if you are impaired and cannot drive.
AAA is stressing that this is intended to be a last option and something that cannot be scheduled.
“Over the last few years, we’ve seen a rise, unfortunately, in injuries and fatalities due to impaired driving,” said Howard Hughey, a spokesperson for AAA. “Our Tow to Go program is simply a program to help mitigate some of that, if not eliminate it altogether.”…
