LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Many Spartans are familiar with the names of the three students who lost their lives in the mass shooting at Michigan State University in February 2023. Those students, along with others who lost their lives while attending the school, were honored on Saturday as part of the 3rd annual MSU Student Memorial Tribute Trees Walk & Reflection Event.
Families and friends honored their loved ones by visiting the 12 memorial trees across campus, placing roses at each of their plaques. “Always a Spartan, forever a Spartan” was the sentiment shared throughout the event.
