Finding employment can be a struggle even in the best of economic times, but what isn’t often addressed are the additional challenges people with disabilities face when it comes to entering the workforce.
That is what Peckham is working to change.
“People with disabilities are often marginalized and underrepresented in the workforce and face higher rates of unemployment and underemployment,” said Shavonne Lewis, director of brand and communications at Peckham. “They are often judged as less valuable and overlooked in society.
