LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — University of Michigan Health-Sparrow is launching a new Bachelor of Science in nursing program with the University of Olivet, a private Christian college in Olivet, Michigan.
The program will give Olivet nursing students clinical training at the hospital. Students will gain experience in a rural hospital and UM Health-Sparrow’s Level I trauma center. After graduating, students can apply for positions at Sparrow or any hospital of their choice.

“This partnership is a direct investment in the future of health care in our community,” said Kathy Marble, chief nursing officer at UM Health-Sparrow Lansing, in a news release sent to 6 News. “This program will produce nurses we wouldn’t have had otherwise. It’s a whole new cadre of students who will become our future caregivers.”
