Mason library damaged after car crashes into it

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Capital Area District Library shut the Mason Branch location down Monday afternoon after a car crashed into the building.

CADL announced on their website the location would reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, September 16. The announcement reported an inspection determined the crash damaged a the wheelchair accessible entrance and ramp to the location.

“An inspector has cleared the rest of the building for occupancy,” the agency reported on their website.

As repairs are done, officials report another restroom and entrance at the location can be used. The officials also say those who have holds but would be unable to access the Mason branch could change the holds to another branch and process holds at other locations as well…
