Make an Impact: Mitten Misfits helps one-eyed horse

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Mitten Misfits, a farm animal rescue in Eaton County, homes around 100 animals, giving them a second chance at life.

One of the animals on the farm is Chief, a 32-year-old Spotted Saddlehorse. He is retired from being a therapy horse.

Chief acts like your average horse, but for eight months, he battled with an ulcer in his right eye. He needed daily eye drops, but despite the medication, Chief lost his eye to the ulcer…
