LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The driver of a semi-truck that collided with stopped traffic in a November 2024 crash that killed four people and injured at least 17 others is facing 8 misdemeanor charges in Ingham County District Court.
James Glendon, 58, is facing four charges of moving violation causing death and four charges of moving violation causing serious impairment. The charges stem from an incident that occurred the night of Nov. 2, 2024, on westbound I-96 by the M-52 overpass near Webberville.
Police told 6 News at the time that a semi-truck driver, later identified as Glendon, was unable to stop his vehicle for the upcoming stopped traffic, colliding into several vehicles and causing a large fire.
15 vehicles were involved. Four people died as a result of the crash, and at least 17 others were injured.
Shortly before the crash, MSP troopers from the Lansing and Brighton Post had closed the road to allow a DTE Energy crew to string power lines across the interstate. At the time of the crash, troopers had just reopened the road…
