Hundreds gather for 2nd Annual Dance by the River Powwow

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — People sang and danced together to the beat of the drums for the second annual “Dance by the River Powwow.”

It’s a cultural celebration, allowing Indigenous people to share their heritage and pass along their traditions to others.

Dancers from all generations, draped in colorful regalia, moving to the beat of the drum, during the second annual Dance by the River Powwow.

Nichole Keway Biber, one of the dancers, says the event is dear to her heart.
