5 years after BWL held its last chili cook-off, popular Lansing event is being revived

LANSING – The Lansing Board of Water & Light chili cook-off was an annual tradition for more than two decades. Before the last event in 2019, the chili showcase and competition, held for years at Lansing’s Adado Riverfront Park and then at Jackson Field, drew thousands of people.

By the time BWL announced the event wouldn’t be back in 2022, there had been a two-year hiatus brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
