Lansing’s food scraps program diverts 30 tons of waste from landfills

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Lansing city leaders report that the city’s Food Scraps Drop-Off Program has collected 60,000 pounds of food waste, diverting 30 tons from landfills.

Launched last year, the program aims to reduce waste and cut down on methane gas emissions.
